Animal Farm by George Orwell relates the story of a farm where the animal revel against their master and end up kicking him out of his own farm. It is a satire of human society. It all begins when Major, the oldest pig in the farm, gives a speech about the fact that human is the only one that consumes without producing. A revolution was necessary to end this unfair situation. When Major dies, just a few days after his speech, the pigs, being the smartest animal in the farm, take the leadership and organize a revolution against Mr. Jones, the owner of Manor Farm where everything takes place. It is obvious since the beginning that the pigs have different plans for themselves than for everybody else. They simply are too smart to work. At the beginning, after the revolutions, ten commandments are written, but as the pigs evolve and star behaving differently, these ten commandments change without any of the other animal noticing it, and if they do notice it, there is alway a smart pig convincing them that there has been no change and that the pigs are always working hard to take care of them. As you read Animal Farm you’ll find a lot of similarities between this new animal society and our human society, and you’ll become more aware of situations that affect our lives as humans.

Animal Farm por George Orwell relata la historia de una granja en donde los animales se revelan contra su amo y termina hechandolo de su propia granja. Es una sátira de la sociedad humana. Todo comienza cuando Major, el puerco mas viejo de la granja, da un discurso acerca de el hecho de que el hombre es el único que consume sin producir. Una revolución es necesaria para terminar con esta injusticia. Cuando Major muere, tan solo unos días después de su discurso, los puercos, siendo los animales mas inteligentes en la granja, toma el liderazgo y organizan una revolución en contra de Mr. Jones, el dueño de la granja Manor, lugar donde todo se desarrolla. Es obvio desde un principio que los puercos tienen planes diferentes para ellos que para los otros animales. Ellos son demasiado inteligentes como para trabajar. En un principio se establecen 10 mandamientos, conforme los puercos van evolucionando y comenzando a comportarse diferente, estos mandamientos cambian sin que ninguno de los otros animales lo noten, y si llegan a notarlo, siempre hay un puerco listo para convencerlos de que eso no es cierto y que los puercos trabajan muy duro para cuidar de ellos. Mientras leas Animal Farm encontrarás muchas semejanzas entre la nueva sociedad animal y nuestra propia sociedad humana, y estarás mas al tanto de situaciones que afectan nuestra vida como humanos.
